Regional NRM Investment
Budgeting for the Strategy
The Strategy has purposely directed the development of investment plans to implement activities arising from the Strategy.
The challenge to develop a funding program with three-year forward projections for such a large investment was met head on by the South Coast NRM community in 2005.
The First NRM Investment Plan (IP1) was approved as a three-year plan, securing $33,660,171 of investment and commencing implementation on 1 July 2005.
The Second NRM Investment Plan (IP2) released a further allocation of $7,806,800.
The South Coast NRM team maintained strong agency involvement, technical expertise and robust community engagement during the development of The Third NRM Investment Plan (IP3). The funding to be secured through IP3 is the final 30% of 2007/08 indicative regional allocation, specifically $3,965,768.
