Coordination of Soil Health Extension in Western Australia

South Coast Natural Resource
Management Inc.

Improved communication and integration of diagnostic tools was required for effective delivery of the current spectrum of soil health research outcomes to be achieved.

This project aimed to link the major soil health initiatives in WA, to ensure effective information flow between the major R&D programs and regional NRM and industry based delivery frameworks. The project also provided an important delivery mechanism for products developed through the GRDC National Extension Project.

The project built on investment by Regional NRM groups, GRDC, the Grower Group Alliance, the Department of Agriculture and the private sector. The major goal of the project was to better integrate the spectrum of soil health information that is currently being offered to Growers.
