This project will deliver effective community on-ground support, communication and capacity building within the Eastern Fitzgerald Biosphere.

Activities will address coastal and land issues concerned with weed incursion, wind erosion, protection of aquatic habitats and loss of biodiversity. Knowledge and skills in Natural Resource Management will be improved by implementing on ground works, community engagement, knowledge capture, and monitoring and evaluation.
Funding will enable the employment of a Project Officer, provision of governance and on-ground works. The Project Officer will deliver on Caring for our Country targets, manage on-ground activities, provide community leadership, seek funding opportunities (in collaboration with South Coast Natural Resource Management Inc.) as they arise and provide support for the Ravensthorpe Agricultural Initiative Network (RAIN). The position will work closely with South Coast Natural Resource Management Inc. (South Coast NRM Inc.) to ensure a strategic approach.
