Achievements 2004-2009                                      Awards 2005-2009

  •  $51 million acquitted
  • 394 people directly employed
  • Almost 10,000 people indirectly involved through volunteering/attendance at workshops
  • Over ≈24,000 ha of vegetation established, consisting of: 19,100 ha of perennial plantings (68% achieved);  >4,800 ha of revegetation of coastal, riparian, wetland and terrestrial habitats (110% achieved)
  •  39,200 ha of soil ameliorants applied (96% achieved)
  • >14,200 ha of riparian and remnant vegetation protected by >2,600 km of fencing (>150% achieved)
  • 34,000 m of creeks/rivers protected through stock crossings and stabilisation of stream banks (108% achieved)
  •  >100 stock troughs installed (76% achieved)
  • ≈2500 ha treated by surface and subsurface drains (90% achieved)
  • Invasive species control measures implemented over 1.2 million ha (100% achieved)
  • >1,200 training, awareness raising or community events held (133% achieved)
  • Management Targets (MATs): 98 targets relevant to period;  95% achieved or on track; 5% behind schedule;  0% no progress
