Frequently Asked Questions

What is it?

The Southern Fund is South Coast NRM's independent tax deductible donation fund launched in March 2010.

What is The Southern Fund partnership?

South Coast NRM established a fund in June 2008 to support sustainable environmental, social, cultural and economic outcomes across the South Coast region of Western Australia. Later that year, South Coast NRM formed a unique partnership with Bendigo & Adelaide Bank Ltd, Community Sector Banking and the Community Bank® branches of Albany, Mount Barker, Tambellup and Cranbrook.
The Fund (account) was opened with Community Sector Banking to facilitate and support regular donations, generated in part by select Community Sector Banking and Bendigo customers, and to more broadly capture donations from other sources with the purpose of underwriting South Coast NRM’s on-ground activities.
A committee comprising Community Sector Banking, Community Bank®, South Coast NRM and community representatives administer the fund and determine its investment policy. The committee is required to meet quarterly and membership of the committee is reviewed annually by the South Coast NRM Board of Management.

Can not-for-profit groups help too?
