Thinking of an NRM career?

With greater community concern about environmental issues and increased demand for services focused on the environment, natural resource management is a growing field.

Employees in natural resource management fields undertake work in areas such as catchment management, landcare, research, soil conservation, marine and coastal rehabilitation, flora and fauna protection.

Employment opportunities exist in the TAFE and university sectors; the mining and minerals industry; government research agencies; and in managing conservation parks, forest or local government reserves and crown land. Not-for-profit organisations such as South Coast NRM are also employers of a wide range of skilled workers.
